Storing API keys

You can use your own OpenAI and Anthropic API keys to talk to your data. This way, you know that the data is linked to your account.

Data privacy is important to use. And we want to do everything we can to protect analytics and insights for a website. We also encrypt any API keys stored in our systems.

Here's how to save an OpenAI key to our system.

Step 1

You will need to create an API key in your OpenAI account.

Step 2

Back in your Elementary Analytics dashboard. Click the menu, at the top-right of your dashboard. Then click the 'Integrations' menu item

Step 3

Next. Enter your OpenAI API key into the form and click 'SAVE OPENAI API KEY'

Step 4

Now that you've saved the API key. The screen should update. You can use this screen to disconnect the API key if you want to do so.
